‘Leprechaun’ bank robbers shot dead
US police have killed two St Patrick’s Day bank robbers in a shootout in Tennessee.
Officers say a man dressed as a leprechaun escaped from the First State Bank in Gallatin with an undisclosed amount – police pursued the man and his accomplice, who were later shot dead after ditching their getaway car.
Witnesses said the costumed suspect had earlier that day walked into another bank but left because it was too crowded.
