BDA launches young people consultation

The British Deaf Association has launched a nationwide consultation aimed at getting views from young deaf people.

The Tree of Knowledge – Leaf of Life consultation will see the BDA visit schools, colleges and clubs across the UK to see what it can do for young people.

Participants will be encouraged to write their views and concerns on a special ‘leaf’ which will then be used to guide the BDA’s strategy for dealing with the needs of young deaf people.

Cathie Robins-Talbot, youth development manager for BDA Wales said: “Our tree is looking very bare at the moment with a few leaves and we want to see it full (it’s nearly Spring!) of leaves with your ideas, hopes and dreams.”
